Review: Merlot Grape Seed Eye Cream*

"The eyes have it! This moisturizing formula helps to reduce puffiness and eliminate dark shadows, while also relieving dry skin in the delicate eye area. Red grape seed polyphenols provide antioxidants to keep a youthful appearance.

This eye cream helps improve skin’s look by boosting collagen production and increasing circulation. Suitable for all skin types."

Some of you know that I've been on a search for an eye cream to incorporate into my skin care routine. I'm twenty five years old and have come to realize that I need to take precaution of any future skin issues that may get thrown my way (lines, wrinkles, crow's feet?, etc.).

After doing some extensive research on skin care, I've learn that not only do I need to take better care of my skin to prevent possible future issues but I've also learn how delicate the skin is on our face, especially around the eye area.

When I looked in the mirror and examined the skin around my eyes, I saw how thin the skin was and noticed that I have 2-3 teeny little lines under my eyes. Another concern was these dark little shadows right under my eyes. With so much going on in my life, I did not know how much I've neglected to take care of my poor little eyes. Luckily, Merlot Grape Seed Skin Care came to my rescue!

Packaging:

  • The eye cream comes in a 1 fl.oz. jar.
  • You only need a little bit of this product for each eye and so I use my index finger to get a small tap of the product from the jar.
Texture & Consistency:
  • This eye cream has a thicker consistency than the Merlot Grape Seed Moisturizer and unlike the purple color of the moisturizer, this is a white cream. The smell is also of course, a subtle grape =)
Application:
  • After I shower, I immediately tap this eye cream on around my eye area, (careful to not get product in your eyes) and wait for a few minutes to let it dry before I apply the Merlot Grape Seed Moisturizer on. I tried to look online to see if it mattered which product to apply on first but came to conclude that it's just a personal preference. I figured it would be best to put the eye cream on first so that way my skin is absorbing the most benefits of the eye cream followed by the moisturizer.
Finish:
  • Like I mentioned above, this eye cream has a thick consistency so it takes a few minutes to dry completely. Once the eye cream is absorbed, I noticed immediately how firm and dense it made the skin under and around my eyes.
After close to a month of using this eye cream, I am in love! Using this eye cream, I can tell a huge difference the eye cream has made for me. I noticed how nice and firm the under-eye area have gotten and the cream has help reduced the appearance of my shadows too. Below is a picture comparison I took.

The first picture was taken on the first night I began to try out this eye cream. The second picture was taken on just recently. It's been close to a month now that I've been using this eye cream. I've noticed how significant of a change it is for me and am going to continue using this eye cream for forever!!!

Here's some up close shots of my eyes for comparison.

So sorry, my lighting isn't consistent because I use my phone to take my pictures!

Is it worth it?
  • After much personal research and experimentation with the Merlot Grape Seed Eye Cream, this is DEFINITELY worth every penny and even more! You can find this precious little gem at the Merlot website or your local Walgreens for $13!!!
  • I really love to be budget friendly as possible, especially for products I use on a daily basis and the price tag for this eye cream makes me very happy!

Have you heard or tried the Merlot Grape Seed Skin Care line before?
