When Celsus contacted me to see if I was interested in trying their scar cream for review, I was intrigued to try because I have a noticeable scar on my chest that I want to lighten up and not be visible so much.

Not only is this cream's purpose for scars, you can use this cream for anti-aging purposes too!

"While we can’t turn back the clock, CELSUS’ unique anti-aging formulation, combining powerful peptides and antioxidants, can significantly reduce the visible effects of aging. CELSUS Scar Cream’s powerful rejuvenating and hydrating properties will nourish and soften your skin, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. And because CELSUS is made with only the highest quality organic ingredients, it can be used on an ongoing basis on your face or elsewhere to support your personal skin care."

I can't give you my thoughts on the anti-aging use of this cream, my opinion here is for a scar I've had on my chest for the past 13 years (since I was in 6th grade!).

A little bit more info on my scar (this may gross some out and please don't criticize me for being a pimple picker but I was really young and didn't know better lol). This happened one day when I was in the sixth grade. It started off as a pimple on my chest, I didn't think to bother it because my Mom would always get on to me about picking on my pimples. A few days went by and I see three more pimple right next to the first pimple. So yeah, the pimples all turned white and well I couldn't help it but I popped them.

A few years ago (no more than 5 years I know for sure), I remember my doctor mentioning to me that the scar on my chest is possibly a keloid. A keloid is "an area of irregular fibrous tissue formed at the site of a scar or injury".

I've been using the Celsus scar cream for a little over a month now (about a month and half) on this keloid scar on my chest. I've actually started to notice a difference! The scar used to be really dark and very noticeable. Over the years, the scar did lighten up to a pinkish tone where people would still notice it.

After a month and a half of using Celsus, the scar has lighten up quite drastically for me. Below are pictures to compare (a before and after).

Before: 11/04/13
After: 12/17/13
The cream is very lightweight and absorbs quickly. There's a very very light light green tint to it. It's not thick, but thin (not runny though!). To me, there is an herb-like scent. I've looked up reviews on multiples websites that sells this scar cream, and some customers have mentioned how they dislike the smell, but as for me, I've grown up to herbal remedies in my household and so I'm used to it and don't mind the scent of this cream at all.

Overall, I am impressed with this product! I see this really working for my keloid scar which I was really unsure if it would effective for. I've actually used another scar cream before but didn't see any changes.

This retails for $19.99 for a 0.7 oz (20g) tube. If you are interested in this scar cream, please head on over to the Celsus Bio-Intelligence website.

If you have scar concerns like I do, what do you use and how is it working for you?
