Review: Bite Beauty | Limited Edition Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos

Today I want to share with you my thoughts on my very first Bite Beauty lipsticks!
I've seen and heard a few ladies talk about the quality of this brand. When I saw this awesome deal on Sephora (this was right before No Buy March started), I had  to snatch them up!

"What goes on your lips should do more than just color. It should be good for you, too!

Bite lip products are handcrafted one at a time to provide nourishing, restorative benefits. These lipsticks contain natural and organic ingredients—moisturizers and protective antioxidants like resveratrol, organic fruit butters, and Manuka honey.

The end result? Edgy, edible innovation for lips."

The items we are covering today are Limited Edition Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos. Each duo contains beautiful contrasting Spring-forward shades, available in Neutral and Vivid.

L - R: Lychee, Musk

L - R: Violet, Palomino

The lipstick packaging is a grey matte rubber material which reminds me a lot of NARS and their packaging.

The size of these are so cute! They're what I like to call "bite size" lipsticks because they're smaller (0.05 oz) than the full size Bite Beauty lipsticks (0.13 oz).

I find these duos perfect for travel! It can fit easily in the little pockets inside your purse.

Texture & Consistency:

The texture of these lipstick duos is soft and creamy. I found that the Neutral duo to last about 4 hours and then I would have to re-apply. With the Vivid duo, after about 4-5 hours, these two bright beautiful shades will turn into a lip stain as the day goes on, you can re-apply your lipstick if you wish but if you don't want to, you don't have to because your lips will look pretty all day long using the Vivid duo.

Top L-R: Lychee & Musk
Bottom L-R: Palomino & Violet
It applies very smoothly, no dragging on the lips which I appreciate very much. Apologies for the lighting, thus why my skin color looks different in the first picture. As you can see, with the Neutral duo, you can barely tell the two shades apart, but when I swatch them on my hand, this is what the Neutral duo looks like:

L - R: Musk & Lychee

I find neutral shaded lipsticks just help accentuate my lips more to make them look fuller versus trying to show that I'm wearing a nude lipstick. Being the neutrals fanatic that I am, I actually don't mind that the two shades look the same on my lips.

Isn't the Vivid duo fabulous??? I absolutely love the pop of color this brings to my face! Pair either shade with a cat eye and I'm good to go!

Fun Facts!
  • "Each Bite lipstick is infused with the age-fighting antioxidant resveratrol—the equivalent of five glasses of wine."
  • The Lipstick Duos that I just talked about each is equivalent to two glasses of wine!
I hope you enjoyed my review! Do you have any of these wonderful lippies by Bite Beauty in your makeup stash? If so, what shades do you recommend?
