Today I'm going to share with you not only my thoughts on this wonderful product I've received from iFabbo but primarily my Mother-in-law's perspectives on this product since she helped me out by being my awesome product tester for this.
The timing was a bit bad for me, I received a skin care line the day before I got the Perlier Honey Royal Gold Elixir and so I couldn't test this myself until two days ago! Luckily my Mother-in-law is a great sport and helped me out. I didn't tell her anything that this product does (she reads little English so the label on the packaging wasn't a spoiler for her) and only told her it's a serum to put on at night before she proceeds on to the rest of her nightly skin routine. She had been using this for a whole month straight.
Now that I've provided that info for you to make sense of why or how am I reviewing skin care products back to back, let's move on to the precious deets of this product!
Perlier Honey Royal Gold Elixir is an "innovative, anti-aging serum that incorporates fresh Royal Jelly from African bees known to stimulate collagen production and provide vital nutrients and anti-oxidative properties to the skin. Additionally, all the water has been replaced by extremely pure rose distillate that has moisturizing and toning properties."
In short, what Perlier Honey Royal Gold Elixir claims to do is
- Optimize cell renewal (to make skin more soft and supple)
- Optimize production of collagen (which prevents and/or lessens wrinkles)
- Gives skin immediate look and helps to alleviate your signs of tiredness (gives your skin a healthy glow)
- Gives your face new brightness, brilliance, splendor, and true rejuvenated look.
Mom told me that her face has been more soft, smooth (less wrinkles!), and she loves the glow this gives her face. The serum absorbs pretty quickly, leaving a soft velvety feel to her face.
I've had my share of trying out beauty and skin care products that does not meet all of its claims, but when my MIL told me all of that, I was instantly check marking off each of what the product said it does!
Here's a catch though, Mom has been using this every day for a month, I just recently did research straight from the Perlier website (thanks to my bestie, Jackie at FiveTwo Certified who tipped me to research straight from the site versus Google because I got completely different info!) and the instruction on the site says to only use this product for 7 consecutive days per month! You may be wondering why one week out of the month and I'll go ahead and tell you since I usually wait til the very end of my review to share you the purchasing deets, but this serum sells for a whooping $200!!! Makes sense don't it? Lol.
Let's quickly go back to finishing the review because I'm sure your jaw is still dropped from me telling you the retail price of this serum.
In the past two days that I've used the Perlier Honey Royal Gold Elixir (use this BEFORE night cream/moisturizer), I really do LOVE the soft, velvety feeling this serum gives my skin. Makes me wish I can use this as a primer for my foundation because of how smooth this makes my skin! However as for the claim of the glow this serum gives, I honestly feel it's a faux glow because I noticed the specks of shimmer in this product. Anything with shimmer in it is honestly not favorable to my liking. However I made myself suck it up and continue to use for the sake of seeing what else does this serum have to offer me and the only benefit I personally got from this is soft and smooth skin.
Overall though, based off of my MIL's and my experience, this product does meet true to all of its claims. HUGE thumbs up because MIL is hooked on it and is going to have to restrain herself from using it every night now lol.
Now if you're still in awe about the price of the Perlier Honey Royal Gold Elixir but really want this, don't fret! There's a special place you can go to and get it for HALF OFF. You can actually find this precious serum at HSN, they are selling this serum for $99 (U.S.D. before tax) with $6.95 shipping and handling. Feel free to click on any of the links mentioning the serum in this post and it will take you straight there to the HSN website!
