I hope you all had a great weekend! I am so proud to share with you all about the #GirlsCan campaign by CoverGirl.

CoverGirl believes that "as strong women, we can do anything we put our minds to and knows that #GirlsCan follow their dreams and turn any can’t into a can! Whether you’re tackling an obstacle the day has thrown your way or you’re gearing up for a girls’ night out on the town, COVERGIRL can help keep you feeling empowered and beautiful.

This November, COVERGIRL is donating $50,000 to Dress for Success®, an international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing  professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and life."

It's been a while since I've posted a makeup look on my blog, so here's a #MOTD/#FOTD featuring the COVERGIRL Flamed Out Mascara and their lovely Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation.

The sun was having too much fun playing peek a boo at me, lol!

Brace yourselves for a lengthy read. I want to share a #GirlsCan story of mine when I felt empowered as a woman and turned a "can't" into a "can."

The most magical experience in my life thus far was when I was pregnant, had my son, and have been living motherhood for the past 2.5 years now. While I was pregnant, both the Husband and I were so excited and happy as can be. As excited and happy we both were, I had another page of emotions and worrisome running through my mind while  my husband remained calm and collected.

I started to think and worry myself to the point where there were some sleepless nights during my pregnancy. I had questions about how I would be as a mother, how am I going to protect him from the crazies in this world? The questions went on and on but I'll stop it here. I had doubts of myself but the Husband and I would talk and he would ease my mind (despite of our talks, my worries hung in there).

After TWELVE hours of labor, on February 6th, 2012 at 10:13 a.m, my bundle of joy entered the world and all I remember feeling was happiness and content. All the worries I had during my entire pregnancy melted away and I'm learning to take it day by day, handle the challenges as they come and enjoy each second with my son and husband.

The point of my story is, to not worry and think that you CAN'T handle anything that goes your way. You CAN do it. There are challenges and obstacles every where we look but to keep our sanity and to achieve our goals, we must learn to handle the matter with grace and confidence.

I hope that my personal story is relate-able to some of you and gives you the inspiration to change your "can't" to "can." This sounds cliche, but believe in yourself. Whatever it may be that you want to do, you can do it!
