Review: Luminess Legend Airbrush System*

I hope y'all had a great weekend! I'm really excited to kick off the week/last day of August with y'all on a review featuring my very first airbrush system by Luminess Air!

Beauty is in the Air! The finest application of makeup is made possible by the infinite brush stroke of air.

Reveal skins natural beauty with our dermatologist tested and recommended Luminess Legend Airbrush Makeup System. Airbrushing with the Legend system helps eliminate cross contamination (no need for makeup brushes) resulting in healthier looking skin. This revolutionary Airbrush System allows for easy, quick and long lasting applications of airbrush Foundation, Blush, Primers, Skincare, eyeshadows, and much more. The Legend behind this system is in its compacted size, almost silent motor and continuous air flow allowing for a micro-fine airbrush makeup application while still giving coverage control using the specially designed full throttle Stylus. Luminess Air’s specially formulated foundation allows you to spray away a verity of unwanted imperfection such as acne, skin discoloration, dark circles, bruising, scars, wrinkles, rosacea; even tattoos. Our makeup allows skin to breathe without sacrificing coverage – Airbrushing with Luminess Air gives sheer to ultra-coverage minus the appearance of thick or cakey makeup. This kit contains everything you need to create a flawless, camera ready look!

Kit Includes:

When you purchase the Luminess Legend Airbrush System, there are 10 foundation shades that comes in 5 selections for you to choose from:
  • Light
  • Medium
  • Warm
  • Tan
  • Deep
You can also mix the foundations to get your perfect shade!

In the pictures you can see I got the Warm selection which is Shade 5 and 6. I should have chosen Medium (Shade 3 and 4) because I was so convinced that I gotten a tan (even though I did NOT lay out this summer) but Shade 5 and 6 are a bit too dark on me.

The foundation selections all provide sheer to full coverage. There are 4 different types of foundation formula:
  • Silk (natural finish)
  • Ultra (dewy/matte finish)
  • Satin (great for dry skin)
  • Matte (best for oily/acne prone skin)
All of the foundations are oil-free, mineral based, and hypoallergenic.

You only need a few drops (as suggested on the packaging of the product) for each application. The primer mattified my complexion and my makeup stayed on perfectly (8+ hours).

For the foundation, I used about 5 drops for the first application and it was still too sheer for my liking (my acne scars were still visible) and so I built up on my foundation with another application (5 more drops) and it covered well for me.

The Soft Rose blush is a gorgeous shade and is exactly like its name! You can build up on the blush to your desire liking but I find that it is beautiful with just one layer (you get a soft and subtle blush).

It is highly recommended to clean your stylus after you're done using it. Simply add a few drops of water and spray! Make sure to read your manual and watch the instructional DVD before you start using your system and for the exact details on cleaning and maintaining your system and stylus.

Just hand modeling in the above picture lol. I've been rocking au natural nails to let them grow a bit before I use polish.

Pulling the trigger back just a bit - this is how about how much you should pull it back when applying product.

You don't want to pull the trigger on the stylus all the way back because then you're just full blasting the product on your face!

I really love the size of this system! As you can see in the picture above, it fits perfectly in my hand! You don't have to worry about this system taking up a lot of space because it's so travel friendly!

I've been using the Luminess Legend Airbrush System for about two weeks now and I really like it!

There are so many options you can add on to your Airbrush System/Kit. If you're new to airbrushing and want to start getting into using an airbrush system whether it's for personal use or for clients, I'd definitely recommend the Luminess Legend System

The Luminess Legend Systems retail for $249 (U.S.D. before taxes, shipping & handling fees) and there are a few different colors and patterns to choose from! However if you like the same black and white system that I have, it's on sale for $160!

If you have any questions or concerns about the Luminess Legend System and/or how to use it, don't hesitate to reach out and ask!

  4. Thank you Andrea! I've seen the Dinair and Temptu systems up close but never got close enough to touching them because I'd get scared I might break something! Luminess Air is definitely a great starter!

  7. Airbrushing intimidates like getting it all over my desk and dogs lol! I do love how tiny this system is and it sounds great! One day, I'd love to invest on one.

  8. Lol, I was worried about airbrushing getting all over my vanity table but fortunately, you don't need to worry because it doesn't get anywhere near it love! However, might want to make sure you're wearing a regular at home tee shirt instead of your nice tops to avoid any possible mistakes hehe. The compressor system is has a very very low motor sound and the size is perfect. I look forward to hearing your thoughts when you get one! xo
