Why are pores so controversial? Okay, I'm exaggerating just a tad bit (lol) because it's not a controversy but seriously though -
Not only is it desirable to have clear and flawless skin but having minimal pores is essential for a healthy complexion. We don't want dirt and bacteria to get down and under our skin which can further cause complex skin issues.
I'm always in the market searching for the best of the best of products to deep clean, purify, and help make my pores less noticeable. For the past few weeks, I've been using Dr. Brandt Skincare PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator (it's quite a mouthful isn't it?!?).
What it is:
A unique professional-grade physical and chemical exfoliator and pore perfector in one.
What it is formulated to do:
PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator reduces the look of enlarged pores and mattifies shine. Minimize pores while smoothing and evening skin’s texture with this dual-action formula. This exfoliator instantly works to deeply cleanse pores while it strengthens and tightens the look of pores by removing congestion- and clogging-causing impurities. Your skin will look and feel smoother, more even, and shine-free.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
I really love the Dr. Brandt skincare line based off what I've used in the past up til now (pores no more® pore refiner primer and microdermabrasion skin exfoliant) so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed when I received the PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator.
The PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator works very well and their professional-grade crystals are so gentle yet work so effectively at smoothing and clearing my sensitive complexion. I use this exfoliator twice a week and it deep cleans so well and allows my skin to breathe in between days I don't wear makeup.
I do notice immediately after using the PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator on how it tightens my pores but the results only lasts a day or two before my pores expand back to it's original size - so the results are temporary (for me anyway).
On days that I do not wear makeup, my complexion is bright, healthy, and matte (YAY! for my oily skin beauties)! On days when I do wear makeup, my makeup look is flawless - pores no more!
I highly do recommend you trying out the PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator for yourself! You can go to Sephora and ask one of the Beauty Advisors for a sample to try out. Even a sample should last 2-3 uses because you only need a little bit of product and I recommend using it on where you need it most (the porous areas of your face).
There are so many exfoliators out there - from my experience, exfoliators from the drugstore are nothing like what I've experienced from the Dr. Brandt line. The exfoliating beads in the drugstore products tends to be bigger and more abrasive on my skin which irritates my complexion afterwards. There's simply no comparison when it comes to drugstore exfoliators to the PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator by Dr. Brandt.
A full size of the Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator is 2 oz. which retails for $58.00 (U.S.D.). When it comes to skincare - I believe that it is an important investment to take care and have healthy skin so it's definitely worth the money in my book!
