As the crisp fall air slowly fades out and into brisk cold winter air, we must change up our skincare routine to protect our skin from the harsh cold.
For my skincare novice, you don't use all of the products (pictured above) in one sitting. Let me break it down for you on what I do:
In the AM, I usually just cleanse and moisturize (products 1 and 3). My PM routine can be a bit more extensive - I cleanse, exfoliate (twice a week), use retinol follow by my night cream.
If you've been following me for some time you know that I am quite loyal to my Clearasil cleanser but during this time of the year, my combination skin changes and tends to be more dry. The cold is simply too harsh and dries out my skin severely so I switch over to something more gentle and hydrating. The Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and DIY Oatmeal Cleanser are the two that I find to work best for my over-drying skin! I use the DIY Oatmeal Cleanser to soothe my complexion on days when my breakouts want to act up and try to get at its worse.
I'm a huge fan of dr. brandt products! I've used and still repurchase a few of his things when I can. My latest product that I've been using and loving is the Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask. If your skin feels or appears dull from the cold weather, you should definitely give this mask a try! This mask is designed to boost luminosity and reinvigorate your skin in just 3 minutes!
