Hello from the Bump! :)
I'm 18 1/2 weeks into pregnancy and with this Texas heat, I've had no energy to mess with makeup this summer. That doesn't mean I'm not trying or using beauty products!
During the summer, my skin tends to be more oily than usual however it is the complete opposite this time around thanks to pregnancy hormones. I've been dealing with the worse dry skin - I wake up every morning to dry, flaky patches around my face despite of how much I do my best to stay hydrated.
If you're dealing with the same skin issue, here's what I've done to minimize the dryness.
In the morning...
I exfoliate more than what's recommended (almost every day instead of 1-2x week) follow by a gentle facial cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
*I've swapped out my usual cleanser (Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser) and moisturizer (Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré) for something new that I've been using for about a month now. See the products below!
During the day...
If you plan to be outside a lot, use a bug spray to keep the mosquitoes away! I've heard quite a bit about the Zika virus and am so paranoid so I keep bug spray in my bag and use when needed.
Other items I keep in my bag when I'm on the go is sunscreen (to reapply every 2 hours of being outdoors), lip balm, facial mist, and a bottle of water.
Cleanser, toner, and night cream.
I want to keep my skincare routine as simple as possible and I find that this works really well! You can click below to see what products I've been using!
