Maternity Style: The Makeup Show Dallas #ootd

I bought these espadrille flats earlier this spring and never wore them because right after I got them, I found out I was pregnant! Given that these flats were a bit narrow for my feet and knowing that I was going to have to embrace swollen pregnant feet for a few months, I held off on wearing them and had plan to break into them next spring.

We are a little over 6 months into pregnancy and I just couldn't wait to wear the shoes! My legs and feet did swell up a bit from all the walking I did that weekend but I made it through!

The Makeup Show Dallas 2016 Recap

The Makeup Show is a two-day event dedicated to artistry, networking, community, inspiration, and education. Texas is proud to have hosted The Makeup Show these last 2 years and the momentum is still going strong (nearly 4,000 attendees!) making this year another success!

This pro-only event is held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas and attracts professionals all across the Southern states, filling the city of Dallas with high-energy and creativity.

"It's always such a joy to bring The Makeup Show to Dallas. The suppport we receive from the community here is truly amazing and never wavers. We are looking forward to returning to the Lone Star State." - Shelly Taggar, Owner of The Makeup Show

About to enter The Makeup Show!

Waiting for James Vincent to grace the stage.

Quick close-up of my #ootd details.

Professional Makeup Artist, James Vincent delivered an inspiring and motivating speech on how the makeup industry keeps pushing forward with innovation and dedication to the art and about how having love and acceptance for everyone who comes into the industry gives the world that light of hope regardless of what all chaos has become upon us.

Check out my interview with James from last year's show! Click here.

My beautiful blogger friend, Jaleesa Charisse.

I was lucky enough to be able to bring my SIL with me to TMS! She was my photographer the entire weekend!

The Makeup Show featured over 75 top pro-focused brands including MAKE UP FOR EVER, TEMPTU, Crown Brush, Frends Beauty, NARS, Pinnacle Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and MustaevUSA. Newcomers to The Makeup Show Dallas included Kat Von D Beauty, MAC Cosmetics, VooDoo Makeup, Smith Brushes, Estee Lauder, and many more.

Getting color-matched at Estee Lauder.

How beautiful is this setup by MAC? I can't get enough!

Waiting to check out in the MAKE UP FOR EVER line.

Couldn't leave The Makeup Show without taking a selfie at the selfie station equipped with lighting by Glamcor!

Overall, I enjoyed the time I spent at The Makeup Show this year very much! With my pregnancy, I got worn out more easily this year so I took it easy as much as I could and wouldn't have even survived the time I spent at TMS without the help of my SIL and great friend, Julie! (Love you both! xo)

PopSugar September 2016 Must Have Box*

This month, the box that PopSugar sent to me is quite chic! The September 2016 Must Have Box is described as glamorous, eye-catching, indulgent, bold, timeless, and sartorial.

PopSugar definitely got me on trend this season with the Jack & Lucy wide-brimmed hat. I can't wait to style it with some new maternity outfits!

The Flint Lint Roller is really cute and efficient! Now I don't have to worry about having any lint on my clothing throughout the day. The Smith & Cult Lip Lacquer (shade: The Warning) isn't what I had hope for it to be. I wanted it to be more opaque but instead it is a sheer glossy red. The NCLA MANI-ER Tool Kit is portable and purse-ready for any manicure emergencies you may have while you're on the go. I've used the Briogeo Don't Despair Repair deep conditioning mask before and I've enjoyed it! This full-sized tub will last me quite some time!

If you've seen my past promos of the PopSugar Must Have boxes on my Instagram, you may notice that the snacks don't get a chance to make it in the photo-op! This time around, I made sure to get a photo of the snack to share with y'all lol. These dark chocolate coconut bites by The Gluten Free Bites are quite delish! Protein is so important and I love grabbing these for a snack throughout the day!

This month's box values at $147 and it's very well worth the subscription cost of $39.99. If you are interested in subscribing to PopSugar Must Have, use promo code 'SHOP5' to get $5 off your first box!

How to Achieve a Healthy Glow Makeup Look x #MACVibrantlyYoungFace*

As we are transitioning into the chilly fall season, we want to maintain that pretty summer glow we gained from the summer. M·A·C released their #MACVibrantlyYoungFace campaign this fall to help you do just that!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in 'Warm Rose'

MAC Vibrantly Young Face smooths and softens features with a fresh, flawless finish. Use the Mineralize Timecheck Lotion ($45 U.S.D) and Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting SPF 30 ($31 U.S.D) to prep the skin, moisturizing, and protecting while blurring imperfections. The ultra-fluid M·A·C Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundations ($35 U.S.D) provides weightless coverage and a natural satin finish, and Mineralize Skinfinish in Warm Rose ($33 U.S.D) brings the dimensional look together.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in 'Warm Rose'

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powders are made to highlight the high points of your face or blend all over for a sheer luminous polish to the skin. The shade 'Warm Rose' is described as a pastel pink with pink reflects

'Warm Rose' is a beautiful highlighter you would want to grab for a nice and subtle glow. If you've follow me for some time, you know I'm a huge fan of Champagne Pop - but some days, if I want to tone it down a notch, I'll reach for this one.

The products put together for the #MACVibrantlyYoungFace campaign is great in helping you achieve a fresh 'no makeup' makeup look which has been my go to look for some time now.

Maternity Style: Classic Stripes & Lace-Up Flats

Kate Spade 'spencer court' - lavinia leather & suede crossbody (similar here and here), Maybelline 'Daringly Nude' Lipstick

On Sunday, I went out and had dim sum with my girlfriends. It was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed every bit of it! Afterwards we dropped by Target to check out the Target Beauty event. You can meet with their Beauty Concierge at select Target stores to talk about the latest beauty trends and what new products are out. I can spend hours browsing through Target and 110% I come out of the store with way more than what I only plan to buy - lol. Who else can relate?

After all the fun out and about, we came back home and had some more fun capturing my outfit of the day. The weather was perfect to wear my new maternity clothes I purchased from GAP. I can't wait for it to be cooler! How was your weekend?

[New Necessity] Meet Kate [Spade]

I've been on the hunt for a new purse for some time and now that I'm in the middle of my pregnancy, I need something light and hassle-free. My go-to bag pick this fall is the Kate Spade NY 'Spencer Court' - Lavinia Leather & Suede Crossbody Bag. It's a gorgeous leather cross-body with a buttery suede flap and has plenty of space inside for your essentials. A real perk for me is how the bag has an exterior pocket which fits my Galaxy phone perfectly! The color of the bag is call "Dark Mousse Frosting" which looks like an ivory shade in the stock photo but once I got my bag, it's more of a grayish lavender tone in person which I actually really like!

What's your go-to purse this fall?
