What I found that felt very accommodating from the Wantable, is the in-depth makeup quiz which asks about what type and coloring of products you want to receive. I'm very impressed with their quiz, they are much more interested in you as a client than other subscription service I have tried.
When I first opened up my Wantable box, I was greeted with a cute little banner (pictured above) that greeted me: Hello, knockout! I thought that was very cute and who wouldn't appreciate such a greeting? =D On the flip side of the banner, there is an inspirational quote:
Under the cute greeting is a detailed packing slip. What I appreciate about the packing slip is how they have the original retail price for each item you get is. There's a memo on who inspired this month's makeup selections along with a little info snippet to tell you what each product is made for. There's also a snippet to remind you what your preference selections from your style quiz, you took online when you signed up for the subscription:
Sorme Treatment Cosmetics | Blush & Bronze Duo | $28 U.S.D. Retail
I never heard of this brand until now and am glad to be introduced to beauty brands that I do not know of. This blush/bronze duo is oil-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, and there's no animal testing. Their makeup products are made in the U.S.A.
"This luxurious, 70% natural duo gives you fresh, summery radiance with healthy, natural minerals. Vitamin C and E plus antioxidant Pomegranate and Rooibus extracts help treat your skin and defend against aging free radicals. Sheer matte or shimmer formulas seem to meld with your skin."
I can't wait to use this duo to see how it pigmented it is! I haven't touched it yet because I already have my e.l.f. blush/bronze duo that I'm using.
Sorme Treatment Cosmetics | Skin Perfecting BB Cream | $30 U.S.D. Retail (Full Size)
Eventually the spring season will get here! When spring and summer arrives, I like to switch out my foundations for tinted moisturizers/BB/CC Creams. This is a foil packet sample of the Sorme Skin Perfecting BB Cream which I am eager to use the next time I put on makeup (so stay tune for a selfie with my makeup breakdown on Instagram!). I can't wait to see how I like this BB Cream, and if I do enjoy it, I'll probably buy the full size version and get my makeup transition prepared for spring =)
Billion Dollar Brows | Clear Brow Gel | $18 U.S.D. Retail
I am a brows and lash junkie if you did not know that yet, now you do! Currently I'm researching/shopping around for different brows products to use to enhance my brows (stay tune for a Makeup 101 How I Do My Brows post!). This clear gel came in perfect timing because I am almost out of my Anastasia Clear Brow Gel which I do adore but it's nice to try other brands. I can't wait to crack this one open!
Be A Bombshell | The One Stick (Buck Wild) | $18 U.S.D. Retail
"The One Stick" reminds me of Benefit's Watt's Up Highlighter (which I do have by the way because I don't want people to think how or why am I going to deem something as a dupe or say something is similar if I don't have the other item to compare it to). Buck Wild is a shimmery bronze shade which I can use to highlight my face, clavicle, and shoulders when I'm tanner in the summer.
DEX New York | Lipstick | Brighton Beach | $22 U.S.D. Retail
This is a very nice creamy lipstick! The color payoff wasn't as intense as I had hope for it to be. It took a few swipes to achieve the lip swatch above. Sorry for the messiness! I was in a hurry to put this on for the lip swatch to post. When I first opened this lipstick, because of the lack of lighting it looked like an oxblood color but when I went to another room with better lighting, it's a berry red which I do love for a more subtle red lip look.
Stay tune for a full in-depth review for each makeup item in the future =)
Total Retail Value of this month's box = $84 (U.S.D): I determine if a box is worth it to me by asking myself if I will use everything that I received in the box. In this case, I find the box to be well worth it's value. I think a beauty subscription is a great way to build up your makeup collection because you are only paying a fraction of the retail price.
If you are looking for a new subscription service to try out, I definitely recommend Wantable because they are unique and offer quality products. I would get next month's makeup box but I've made a promise to myself to cut down on my spending. The first six months every year are extremely busy for me with birthdays (including my own!) and anniversaries so I have to be budget conscious for myself to splurge on the loved ones =)
If you are interested in signing up for the Wantable subscription, feel free to use my referral link =)
Do you have a subscription to Wantable? If so, please let me know what your thoughts are on it! I would love to hear!
