Spring 2014 Lip Trends

Hi beautifuls!

I want to start off by telling all of those who commented in my birthday post a very big THANK YOU!!! I am truly appreciative of your kind thoughts and words!

Today I'm going to share with you a few different spring lip trends that's currently going on for 2014. Tanya from Leopard, Lace, and Cheesecake asked me to join in on her collaboration and I was very excited to take part!

A few other blogging beauties also took part!
I chose to feature the Pantone color of the year which by now I'm sure you know that Radiant Orchid took the crown for 2014!

I don't have the exact Radiant Orchid lipstick but I do have similar shades to it and for this collab, I chose my Bite Beauty lipstick in "Violet" to showcase. You can check out my in-depth review on the Bite Beauty lipsticks here!

I do want to mention that I've looked up reviews on the Pantone color of the year and the shade looks different on everyone - in my case, the shade Violet looks more pink than purple on me. Just wanted to throw that out there in case a thought of "hey that's not the color of the year!" when you see my FOTD picture, lol =)

Another thing I need to mention, my husband bought me the Urban Decay Electric Palette for my birthday and I used it for the very first time today! Stay tune for an in-depth review on that! =D

Here's my FOTD details:

  • Maybelline | Baby Skin Pore Eraser (T-Zone)
  • Rimmel | Fix & Perfect Pro Primer #002 (all over face minus t-zone)
  • Revlon | Nearly Naked Foundation | #150 Nude
    • City Color | Be Matte Blush | Fresh Melon
    • e.l.f. Studio | Blush/Bronzer Duo | Bronzer (contour)
    • NARS | Illuminator | Copacabana (highlight)
    • Bite Beauty | Luminous Creme Lipstick | Violet

Everything listed above added up to = the face below:

I hope you enjoyed reading and like this look! I'm having lots of fun stepping out of my comfort zone and playing with colors. Especially with green eye shadow! Have you noticed that the last few looks all have some kind of green in it?
