Makeup 101: Updated Highlighting & Contouring Routine (3 Variations)

This is actually a very LONG and overdue post. As some of you know, I am a huge fan of contouring because of how effective this technique can be when you're glamming up. Let's get into the deets!

If you are interested in my two part session discussing over my previous H&C routine, go here to read!

The beauty of makeup is how there are such a huge variety of products you can choose from. I'm going to share three different sets of products I've been switching between.

When I'm on a TIME CRUNCH!

When my dear husband rushes me to hurry and I have absolutely no time to sit still and put on makeup in peace, Be A Bombshell's The One Stick in shade Buck Wild is my go to. It is a shimmery copper with gold undertones. I love it so much because it blends out effortlessly and beautifully! A quick swipe of this to contour my face, blend with my finger tips, and I'm good to go!

Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant is an excellent creamy highlighter in my opinion. It has a light consistency and blends beautifully with my finger tips. The price point is highly favorable in my book!

When I can sit and take my time... ALL HAIL ANASTASIA (BEVERLY HILLS)!

For the longest time I was stuck on nothing else but this Contour Kit by the Queen of Brows. Don't get me wrong, I still come back to this kit on a daily when I wear makeup because it's seriously a fail-proof kit!

In the ABH contour kit, there are six shades to highlight and contour.

I've featured the NARS Contour Kit in shade"Paloma" and the "Albatross" highlighting powder in My Current Obsessions where you can click and go straight to the product to purchase!

These two beauties are my newest addition to my contour and highlighting products and I absolutely love them! The contour powder is soft and smooth, I use a buffing brush to blend out the powder. "Albatross" is a beautiful highlighting powder with gold specks infused in it. With the gold specks in this highlighter, I thought the powder would be chalky or gritty when applying but nope! It applies nicely and blends out smoothly.

So this sums up what my current highlighting and contouring products are! I'm always looking for new things to try and am curious to know if y'all have any recommendations? What are your favorite products for highlighting and contouring? Let's chat below!

Hope you enjoyed my post! Have an awesome day and a great successful week! xx
